Message from Edward de Bono: The M Game

Little_scrabble_1

Here is a sentence with 25 words all of which start with the letter 'M'.  See if you can do better.  The sentence must be grammatical and it may not contain lists - such as all the names of countries beginning with 'M'.  You may use any letter you like.

"Mid Monday morning melancholic Mark Mitcham malevolently mentioned mythical myopic mister Moses maybe made mainly measured minced marinaded medicinal mushroom mild mayonnaise Mexican metabolic mixtures."

Upcoming Book: H+ (Plus): A New Religion

Littleha
Edward de Bono has been busy writing again, adding to his growing list of books - 68 so far.  In his latest book, H Plus: A New Religion, he provides an innovative and exciting new way of life.

H Plus: A New Religion provides a framework for achievement through daily acts of help or contribution. Whether this is offering other people something to laugh at or helping an elderly person cross the road, through these altruistic acts comes a sense of achievement, and from achievement comes self-esteem and a belief in oneself.

Edward de Bono's new groundbreaking book offers us an entirely positive way of life: with the emphasis not on sins that are to be avoided, but on things that are to be done.

'H' stands for: Happiness, Help, Hope, Health and, most importantly, Humour.

Available in Australia / New Zealand in paperback from the 3rd July.  If you have difficulties obtaining this great new book by Edward, please email us.  Don't forget to post a review once you have had a chance to read it!

A Message from Edward de Bono: Creativity & Sport

Littleaustralian
On a previous trip to Australia, John Buchanan, the coach of the national Australian Cricket Team, asked me to give another session to the team and managers.  The last workshop I gave them was a few years ago and that was followed by great success (winning twenty one internationals and seventeen test matches).  The willingness of the team to look for new ideas is the key point.

In West Australia a colleague of mine was teaching some of my thinking methods to the West Coast Eagles, an Australian Rules Football Team, who then proceeded to win eight matches in a row.  I then personally talked to the team and they proceeded to beat St Kilda, a big rival.

I mention these points to show that creativity is not confined to the arts or to business.  Wherever there is a "reality test" such as the balance sheet in business or the score in sport, there is an interest in new thinking.

I believe that there is nothing more marvellous than thinking of a new idea.  There is nothing more magnificent than seeing a new idea working. And, there is nothing more useful than a new idea that serves your purpose.  Edward de Bono.
